| The Clear Lake Splash In has worked dilligently with the County of Lake over the past several years to develop and maintain a system whereby the County can be assured that seaplanes attending the event have taken appropriate measures to preclude the introduction of any invasive species into Clear Lake by seaplane. This process has evolved yearly to adjust to changing infestation conditions and County requirements. As a result of the extraordinary success of past years registration and compliance, the County of Lake we have been able to continue this process for 2011.
Two additional requirements have been added. First you will be asked to complete a short quiz and then view a short video before completing your registration process in that all pilots will be required to view a short video which provides valuable information regarding invasive species precautions specifically with respect to seaplanes. You will be asked to confirm that you have viewed the entire video before completing the registration process. The Lake County inspection form will be emailed to you after you have registered. Complete the form and bring it with you to the Splash-In. You will receive you inspection sticker on arrival. If you choose not to participate in our online registration, you will be responsible for obtaining your band from the County and ensuring compliance. It is vital that we achieve 100% compliance to ensure the future success of this program. |
